Community Organizer Volunteer Day

Interested in being a Community Organizer?

Forefront Suicide Prevention empowers individuals and communities to take sustainable action to prevent suicide, champion systemic change, and restore hope. Our Community Organizers program is key to fulfilling this mission, equipping individuals whose lives have been touched by suicide to become advocates working to prevent suicide in Washington state.

  • Community and state legislative advocacy volunteer work includes working with Forefront and our state legislators to pass suicide prevention policies in Washington State.
  • Safer Homes, Suicide Aware community events and promotion includes representing this campaign at gun shows, distributing educational materials, and more.
  • Forefront Suicide Prevention LEARN trainings are an opportunity to learn and then train community members on how to intervene with someone who may be at risk of suicide.
