If you’ve ever worried about how to prevent a suicide, you are not alone. The UW School and Social Work and the Whole U will be providing Forefront Suicide Prevention training for the UW community on December 6th and 7th from 12:00 – 12:45PM in the HUB room 334.

Forefront Suicide Prevention invites you to an interactive training in the five LEARN® steps. You will learn specific skills and resources to use in your professional and personal lives. Forefront is a Center of Excellence based in UW’s School of Social Work.

Forefront’s LEARN® training includes:

  • Overview on suicide
  • Using empathy
  • Specific ways to ask if someone is considering suicide
  • Ways to help increase safety
  • Resources for care

This training has been split into two 45-minute sessions. By registering for this training, you are signing up for both sessions.
