Course  Description: AMSR  training  provides  core  competencies  to  address  common  dilemmas  facing  clinicians  working  with  individuals  at  risk  for  suicide.  AMSR  covers  theory,  practice  and  methodology  behind  suicide  risk  assessment  and  treatment,  with  the  goal  of  providing  better  care  to  our  clients.  The AMSR training is a program of EDC’s Health and Human Development Division.

6.5 continuing education credits are available from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), American Psychological Association (APA), and Continuing Medical Education Credits (CME). Credits from NASW and NBCC are accepted by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Credits are also available for Kentucky marriage and family therapists (MFTs).
